#MickstapeAwards Final Reactions!
Week 2 of polling finished up on Friday. Thanks to everyone that voted and shared. On Friday, we decided:
- Second frontcourt spot for Third Team All-NBA
- Wildcard spot for Third Team All-NBA. This can be a frontcourt or backcourt player.
We have all three of our All-NBA Teams filled!
First Team All-NBA
BC- Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks
BC- James Harden, Houston Rockets
FC- Giannis Antetekounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks
FC- Lebron James, Los Angeles Lakers
WC- Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers
Thoughts: No surprises here. I wondered if Kawhi may get the wildcard spot over AD, but the polls showed otherwise.
Second Team All-NBA
BC- Damian Lillard, Portland Trailblazers
BC- Russell Westbrook, Houston Rockets
FC- Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers
FC- Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors
WC- Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets
Thoughts: Two chances to put anyone at the wildcard spot, and two times the people put a center here lol. I agree with it in both instances, but wonder if we're programmed to add a "big" man or if AD/Jokic were just the two best choices. I'm leaning towards the latter.
Third Team All-NBA
BC- Chris Paul, Oklahoma City Thunder
BC- Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards
FC- Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics
FC- Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks
WC- Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks
Thoughts: I admit I am surprised to see Bradley Beal here. But I like the consistency of the people to also vote in Trae. If you're averaging 30 PPG in the NBA, you should probably be recognized as a top-15 player. Tough but fair.
